Torang Sepah and her husband Ron Shatzmiller (Tulane Med '05) are expecting a baby this December. Torang is planning on completing her 4th year and graduating with our class, but will then take a year off to spend with her baby. Congratulations Torang and Ron!

Class Service Project

The Tulane Expectant Mother’s Project (TEMP) was designed to provide expectant mothers with a more pleasant and enjoyable stay at University Hospital while they are hospitalized for complications related to pregnancy. Initiated by Sharron Mason and Maya Matthew, the class has successfully repainted the Labor and Delivery floor of University Hospital, complete with storks and plenty of Tulane green (check it out sometime). In fact it was so successful, and looked so great, that it actually made LSU a little jealous, so they started their own painting project in L&D (and so the rivalry actually benefited the expectant mother of UH!). Right now the project is collecting movies, books, magazines, and donations from anyone who is interested in helping these women in need.
