Tulane/Xavier Center for Bioenvironmental Research (CBR)

The Tulane/Xavier Center for Bioenvironmental Research (CBR) is an established and well-developed collaboration between a major research university and one of the nation's leading historically black universities. The CBR's faculty and students are drawn from disciplines as diverse as anthropology, biochemistry, computer science, disease prevention, ecology, economics, engineering, english, epidemiology, geology, mathematics, molecular biology, philosophy, toxicology, for multidisciplinary basic and applied environmental research and education. The CBR is able to leverage funds and optimize investments in minority institutions by combining the research capabilities of Tulane and Xavier in the fields of environmental endocrinology; ecosystem assessment; women's health; environmental astrobiology; biohazard monitoring assessment, and remediation.
