The DNA Methylation Society (DMS) e-mail and Internet network
facilitates communication among several hundred scientists
representing 23 countries, who share research interests in the genetic
and biochemical aspects of DNA methylation. These include the
contribution of DNA methylation to gene regulation, chromosome
structure, development, disease, and microbial physiology and its
impact on the biotechnology of plants and animals.
Among our e-mail communications are monthly updates on
abstracts from papers in press or papers just published by our members;
commentary on recent articles on DNA methylation (News and Views); and
reviews of different aspects of DNA methylation. The e-mail network
includes members' job postings, schedules of upcoming conferences, and
discussion of technical questions. Also, the DMS maintains Listserv- or Web
site-accessible lists of members' postal and e-mail addresses, phone and
fax numbers, and areas of research interest.
