Tulane Sports Medicine Society
The Sports Medicine Society exists to provide students with opportunities to experience many different aspects of sports medicine. We work with the Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine to provide opportunities to shadow sports medicine physicians with backgrounds in orthopedic surgery and physical medicine and rehabilition. Members also participate in two service learning projects. In the take Me Out to the Ballgame program, medical students accompany disadvantaged grade school students to Tulane sporting events. In addition, we sponsor an after-school sports program at New Orleans high schools.
