California Roll
Yield: 1 order
Ingredients:
1/2 sheet nori (seaweed paper)
4 oz. seasoned sushi rice
1 pinch sesame seeds
Wasabi - to smear
1 1/2 oz. avocado slices
1 1/2 oz. crab meat (imitation o.k.)
Directions:
1. Place nori on mat.
2. Mold rice into a ball.
3. Place rice ball onto the nori and evenly
spread out by pressing, ensuring the edges are covered.
4. Sprinkle the rice with sesame seeds, then
turn the nori over.
5. Lay one line of wasabi across center of
the nori.
6. Lay avocado on crab meat, out over
wasabi.
7. Roll up, using the mat to firmly shape
the roll.
8. Remove mat, cut into 6 pieces, and
arrange on plate with garnish.
