Tuesday Clinic

With the assistance of our faculty MD, Dr. Theis, students operate a comprehensive primary care clinic onsite at Bridge House. We provide thorough history and physicals upon arrival, as well as managing clients’ acute illnesses and chronic diseases. The process of substance abuse recovery is a difficult time – therefore, providing health services onsite reduces exposure to potential temptations, thus enabling a more effective recovery. Primary care clinic is the best way to get hands-on clinical experience during your first year. Students are involved in all levels of care – formulating a clinical assessment, devising a treatment plan and prescribing medications. This is an incredible opportunity to work with a truly unique patient population.
