These investigations employ: anesthetized, intubated, mechanically ventilated animals. Pulmonary capillary pressure is determined using the pulmonary arterial occlusion technique (see reference below); lung injury is produced with nebulized HCl. Our research will: help elucidate the mechanisms that lead to ventilator-induced lung injury
