Chair Pict Education is the major mission of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Tulane University Medical Center. We train young physicians to become academic or practicing pathologists. Our residents participate in patient care, teaching and research. Our strengths range from diagnostic surgical pathology and subspecialty training, to technologically advanced computerized clinical laboratories and molecular pathology at the modern Tulane University Hospital. We strive for excellence and balance between diagnostic and investigative pathology. Our goal is to prepare pathologists for the challenges of a lifetime of professional growth. Residents are accepted into the pathology program each year within and outside the Residency Matching Program. This is an introduction to our training program, our facilities and our dedicated faculty. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
