Listed below are the requirements needed by all applicants for entry into our residency program.

•  We endorse only J1-Visa

•  USMLE Step I and Step II certificates (no score requirements) (for PGY I residents) and USMLE Step III (for PGY III and higher),

•  valid ECFMG certificate

•  transcript from Medical School

•  letter of recommendation from Dean of Medical School

•  CV and personal statement,

•  three letters of recommendation

•  current photo

•  copy of social security number (if invited down for an interview)

•  and current VISA status (if invited down for an interview)

•  there is no prior US experience required for entry into our Program

•  there is no cut-off date of Medical School Graduation

You will be required to procure a Louisiana State Medical license.   Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME)   ( www.lsmbe.org ) now requires applicants to be fingerprinted when applying for medical license (Contact Elaine Barberot, 630 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA 70130, phone: (504) 524-6763 ext. 300, email: ebarbe@lsumc.edu ,).  

Our deadline for applications for the academic year (2006-2007) is October 31, 2005.   Interviews are conducted in November 2005 through January 2006. We participate in MATCH.   Positions may be available outside of the MATCH.  

Tulane does not provide any monetary support for interview visits.
