Credit where is due. Thanks dear Mary!

Before the storm

As you may imagine the photo at left is from long ago before I knew about grants, publications and how the congress works. Now hair left my head, soon the teeth will fall and children tuition will complete the rest.

After the storm

The job is almost completed

Thanks GOD that in the USA we can say what we want. My two cents after 20 years of making it through the mud. I love the US and for that reason renegated my birth citizenship for the flag with the stripes and I do not regret it. It seems that as a nation we are:

1) Overfed but are undernorished, because we can not distinguish between the garbage that spoils our methabolism and the good food that fuels our organism. Thus, we survive to eat rather than eat to survive.
2) Overprotected, but ignore our civil responsibilities, do not vote and can not distinguish between privileges and rights. We often advocate college education for even those who after graduation can not read, can think or can not apply common sense to every day ...
3) Overstimulated, but are unable to distinguish right from wrong because our constitutionally protected right to speech too often undermines national pride, emphasizes self reliance and do not condone apathy. We keep on looking for faults some where else to find the antinationalism from within.

I know... I know... you may say: why do not you go back? Well, first they won't take me and, I paid my dues!

Some of us emigrated to this great land and endure humiliation and pain for the following that is conveniently ignored by too many: "We hold these Truths to be self-evident-that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That....deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed,...laying its foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safely and Happiness". The above, is not exclusive of some in favor of others.

Oh yes, I am still looking for the text granting those who arrive early (i.e., 1800) wishing out those arriving later (i.e., 1900). Also, I had trouble finding the ancestor tribe for the so many vociferous self proclaimed nationalists of the USA, in the book "The Native Americans. The Indigenous People of North America" by CF Taylor & WC Sturtevan. Salamander Book (London) 1991 (ISBN 0-86101-523-1)
Recently, while helping during field a day for K-1 & K-2, it is difficult to understand the hatred of some adults, after observing children of different races play together, laugh and giggle.
