The Tulane Pathology Cytopathology Fellowship for the year 2007 (July 1, 2007-June 30, 2008) has only one position and it is a one-year fellowship. We are a fully accredited program.

Fellowship applications are still paper applications.   Please review the Internet addresses concerning Tulane requirements.

Listed below are the requirements needed by all applicants for entry into our fellowship programs.

Please submit the following information;

•  We endorse only J1-Visa

•  3 letters of recommendation

•  CV

•  if you are Board Certified (send copy of certification) or if you are scheduled to take the Boards (give date)

•  copy of ECFMG certificate which must be valid indefinitely (if you are a foreign medical graduate)

•  if you currently have a license in the state that you are living in (send copy)

•  copies of USMLE Step I, II, and III.

Deadline is October 31, 2006 for the year 2007-2008.   Positions may be filled prior to the deadline with a suitable candidate.   You will be required to procure a Louisiana State Medical license.   Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) at www.lsmbe.org   now requires applicants to be fingerprinted when applying for medical license (Contact Elaine Barberot, 630 Camp Street, New Orleans, LA   70130, phone: (504) 524-6763 ext. 300, email: ebarbe@lsumc.edu ,).  

Interviews are conducted from November 2006 through January 2007.
