Dr. "Ron" Clisham is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tulane University School of Medicine. He has board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He currently serves as the Chief of the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He received his Bachelors and Masters degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He then earned his Medical Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans, Louisiana. Subsequently he pursued a fellowships in Reproductive Endocrinology at the University of California, Los Angeles; Andrology at the University of California, Davis; and a Labor Fellowship in Reproductive Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Clinically, Dr Clisham has an active practice in the management of a variety of infertility and endocrinologic problems that include endometriosis, menopause, osteoporosis, assisted reproductive technologies (IVF), polcystic ovarian disease, and uterine fibroids. He also serves as he Director of the Bone Health Program at Tulane University Hospital and Clinic. He has an active clinical research program in the treatment of uterine fibroids, hormone replacement therapy, and osteoporosis.
