Comments on setting: Students will have a variety of activities: (1) Bedouin mobile unit, (2) Home hospice care, (3) Out-patient clinics in and aroung Beer Sheva, (4) In-patient units at Soroka Medical Center

Housing Availability:

Comments on Housing: Housing is in separate, small two-bedroom apartments. Allocation is handled by the Housing Authority. Apartments have a shared living space, bathroom, and kitchette with refrigerator, gas range, and basic kitchen utensils. The apartments are located in the student dormitories which also have a grocery store and laundramat.

Local Travel Costs: $50/month for bus pass
Other Costs: $20/day for food

Level of Proficiency: Although most medical education activities in Israel is conducted in English, most patient care will be in one of the above languages.

Additional Comments:
Students should take into consideration that the plan we have here is very independent and it is up to the students to put a curriculum together. Also, students need to take into consideration the fact that, while here, they are not covered for malpractice.
