Introduction To Ophthalmology

The course is a series of didactic 35mm slide lectures. The basic concepts of ophthalmology
will be covered including anatomy, pathology, and physiology. However, the emphasis will
be placed on clinically relevant teaching materials with the majority of the course based
on clinical photographic material.
This course is designed to provide the student with an introduction to clinical ophthalmology
and with knowledge of the relationships of ocular problems which physicians will encounter
during their practice of medicine. The lectures will be conducted between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
on Fridays. Students are also invited to attend any of the following rounds that they desire:
- Grand Rounds
- Pediatric Ophthalmology (Muscle) Rounds
- Retina Rounds
- Cornea Rounds
