Summer Preceptorship
Students who are interested in doing a preceptorship during the summer after the first year
of medical school should contact Dr. Dise. She will need to have a written description of
the type of work that you will be doing, who will be your supervisor, the facility where you
will be located, and the dates of your preceptorship. Failure to apply for course
approval for a summer preceptorship will mean that you are working without malpractice
insurance since you will not be registered for a course in the School of Medicine.
NOTE: The summer preceptorship is arranged by the student with approval given by Dr. Dise.
Arrangements must be made before the summer.
