This is a sagittal section of the brainstem and cerebellum. The slide shows herniation of the cerebellar tonsils, elongation of the pons and medulla and buckling of the lower part of the medulla. There is also elongation of the fourth ventricle. Diagnosis: Chiari malformation Type 2
