Total bilirubin (TB) with fractionation into conjugated (CB) and unconjugated bilirubin (UCB)

Comments

CB/TB X 100 = CB fractionation < 20%: primary increase in UCB (extravascular hemolysis, problem with uptake or conjugation). 20-50%: mixed CB and UCB (hepatitis). > 50%: primarily CB (obstructive jaundice).
