S7C5bP2b-Linear IgA

S7C5bP2b-1: Along the floor of this lesion of linear IgA dermatosis, the papillary dermis shows fibrinoid degeneration with a loose infiltrate of neutrophils and histiocytes. There are numerous fragments of nuclear debris. The defect contains neutrophils. Blue arrows identify a vessel showing fibrinoid necrosis and infiltrates of neutrophils; the vascular changes are those of a leukocytoclastic angiitis.

S7C5bP2b-2: At the margin of the bulla, neutrophils and histiocytes are arranged in linear arrays at the dermal-epidermal interface. There are loose band-like infiltrates of similar cells in the papillary dermis. There are small lytic defects at the dermal-epidermal interface. There is a high component of migratory histiocytes in the infiltrates. The vessel (blue arrows) shows the pattern of a leukocytoclastic angiitis with fibrinoid necrosis..

S7C5bP2b-3: This vessel shows the pattern of a leukocytoclastic angiitis with a zone of fibrinoid necrosis between the two blue arrows.
