shows a psoriasiform pattern of hyperplasia; rete ridges are regularly elongated. The widened papillary dermis is fibrotic. On the right (b), the dermal papilla is both fibrotic and edematous. To the left near the bottom of the field, fibrous lamellae are parallel to the rete ridge (
lamellar fibrosis).
