S15C2P6-Xanthogranuloma
BuiltWithNOF

S15C2P6-1: In this example of xanthogranuloma, the infiltrates of histiocytes extend to the dermal-epidermal junction. Lymphocytes are loosely sprinkled among the histiocytes. Many of the histiocytes are immature; as a type they qualify as migratory histiocytes.

S15C2P6-2: In the reticular dermis, the infiltrates are composed of activated histiocytes. Collagen bundles are entrapped in the tumor. There are occasional eosinophils. Some of the nuclei are deeply grooved and, individually, they cytologically resemble histiocytes of the infiltrates of histiocytosis X.
