S2C2-IMAGE MAP

In the following lists, S = section #, C = chapter #, VA = visual aid #, and P = pictorial #. Each “S-C-VA-”, or “S-C-P-” item is followed by a brief identification of the process. In a sense, the lists also serve as an index of illustrated diseases. By clicking on an underlined “S-C-VA-” or “S-C-P-” item of this map, the reader can go directly to an illustration of the selected disease. Visual aids (S-C-VA- items) usually are drawings or tables. Pictorials (S-C-P- items) usually are photomicrographs. A few clinical photographs are available in sections other than Section 14. A SECTION MAP follows this IMAGE MAP in a sequence. The SECTION MAP is simply descriptive; it is not a navigation aid. The neighboring cluster of mauve bars substitutes as a navigation aid providing access to other sections.
