Definitions

anisocytosis -- an excessive variation in size between individual red blood cells.

hepatomegaly -- enlarged liver

histiocyte -- tissue macrophage

lymphadenopathy -- enlarged lymph nodes

macrocytosis -- the presence of abnormally large red blood cells in the blood.

osteosclerosis -- increase in thickness of bone trabeculae.

polychromasia -- The presence of blue-red blood cells in blood films. The cells that appear blue are juvenile erythrocytes.

splenomegaly -- enlarged spleen
