Iron Deficiency, Hypersegmented Neutrophil

In iron deficiency a hypersegmented neutrophil may on rare occasion be found. This is not a feature of iron deficiency and if more than an occasional hypersegmented from is seen, another process must be considered (e.g. combined iron deficiency/ Biz-Folate deficiency).
