Key to the Cure Charity Shopping Weekend
October 14-17, 2004
at Saks Fifth Avenue New Orleans, 301 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70130
Two percent of sales at Saks over the four-day event will benefit research into female cancers. The Key to the Cure event is held simultaneously at all 65 Saks Fifth Avenue locations throughout the nation over the same four days. Each location chooses a local beneficiary to receive the proceeds from that area's event. This year, the cancer research programs of the LSUHSC's Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center and the Tulane Cancer Center, partners in the Louisiana Cancer Research Consortium., have been chosen to receive the proceeds from Key to the Cure 2004. Last year, Key to the Cure attracted over 2,500 people to the Kickoff Gala and raised over $113,000 for female cancer research here in New Orleans. In the past three years, over $250,000 has been raised.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance (until Thursday, October 7, 2004) or $30 per person at the door; after this date, all tickets must be purchased at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased by cash, check or credit card. Cash transactions can only be handled in person; please do not send cash through the mail.

At the Gala, several of New Orleans' most famous restaurants will be serving bite-sized portions of their signature dishes and shoppers will enjoy musical entertainment on each floor of the store.
