Dr. Hammock's lecture will describe the X-ray structure of and catalytic mechanism of an enzyme involved in a novel branch of a signal transduction pathway involving arachidonic acid. This work may provide new insights on how environmental contaminants can disrupt signal transduction in mammalian cells.
