A Whole Lot of Collaboration Goin' On
or the First Annual TEAC-NASA Planning Session
|
On July 30-31, 1998, astronauts David Wolf and Rick Linnehan and NASA administrator Tom Goodwin flew in to meet with the people of the Tulane Environmental Astrobiology Center. David did experiments for the lab during his four months on the Mir Space Station (from September 1997 to February 1998; see our Mir experiment webpage), and Rick ran experiments on Neurolab, STS-90, in April 1998 (pictures pending).
Both David and Rick gave presentations on the results of their experiments and what the future might hold while they were at Tulane University Medical Center. And despite the more than 12 hours spent in meetings, planning sessions, interviews, and presentations, they still managed to get out and experience a little bit of New Orleans.
